PURPOSE: An apparatus and method for controlling a plurality of RUIS(Remote User Interface Servers) through a multicast message on a home network are provided to enable a user of RUIC(Remote User Interface Client) to efficiently control a plurality of RUIS through a multicast message. CONSTITUTION: A browser(405) inputs a control command from a user for controlling RUIS through an RUI(Remote User Interface) page. A control command processing unit(404) generates the multicast control message for transmitting the inputted control command. The control command processing unit confirms response about the performed result according to the control command from RUIS included in the multicast control message. A multicast message handler(406) transmits the generated multicast control message to RUIS.
