PURPOSE: A device for sanding a back side of a polyurethane film for holding an object to be polished is provided to omit a supporting film by maintaining the uniform tension of a polyurethane film using a tension control unit. CONSTITUTION: A device for sanding a back side of a polyurethane film for holding an object to be polished comprises an unwinder(10), a transferring roller(20), a sanding unit(30), and a tension control unit(40). The unwinder is wound with a thin polyurethane film. The transferring roller is rotated with the drive motor. The transferring roller transfers the polyurethane film and supports the unwinding polyurethane film. A sanding roller(31) of the sanding unit contacts with the rear side of the polyurethane film transferred by the transferring roller in order to sand the rear side of the polyurethane film. The tension control unit controls the tension of the polyurethane film between the transferring roller and the unwinder.
