<p>A method and system for identifying a fiducial marker in an image. The method comprises the steps of: converting the image into a binarized image; segmentising the binarized image; detecting one or more fiducial candidates based on topological region adjacency information obtained from the segmentized image; determining geometric information of the one or more detected fiducial candidates; and identifying the fiducial marker from the one or more detected fiducial candidates based on the geometric information.</p> |
