The device has a case (4) fixed on an opening, containing an elongated rigid elements (5, 6) e.g. tubes, displaced between a retracted position in the case and unfolded position in which each rigid element is projected outside the case to constitute a stopper. Ends of the rigid elements are connected in a pivoting manner to a base of the case. The rigid elements are arranged on a side of the other in the case in a retracted position. The case is integrated in a wheel cover.
