FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemistry and may be used in production of hydrogen. Hydrogen is produced with help of plasma generator with two electrodes, one made up of tapered-channel nozzle and another one made up of aluminium rod aligned with the first electrode to displace axially. Steam or steam-water mix is used as working plasma generating substances. Aluminium rod is fed into arc zone. Produced mix of hydrogen with aluminium oxide fine particles is cooled in water to separate pure hydrogen. Aluminium rod is connected to power supply positive terminal while said nozzle is connected to negative terminal. ^ EFFECT: production of pure hydrogen from water. ^ 1 dwg
