The press (1) has a table (3) fixed in a chassis (2), where linen to be ironed is deposited on a table by successive pressings. A heating plate (4) is articulated on the chassis. Juxtaposition of an elongated table support (6) is in front of the table. Installation of connection units allows connecting the support and the press. The connection unit is articulated on supports fixed indifferently under the table or on the chassis. Each support is realized by molding of plastic, metal, wood or derived wood or by welding of a metal wire.
