The present invention discloses a search processing device and network system thereof, wherein, the search processing device can work in a first working mode or a second working mode: in the second working mode, a storage unit stores a next hop table; a first request processing unit resolves a data access request, received from an interface unit and sent by the search processing device working in the first working mode, and obtains the index of the next hop table; a second request processing unit obtains the next hop information from the next hop table according to the index of the next hop table; a first result processing unit sends the next hop information, obtained by the second request processing unit, via the interface unit to a network processor for calculating the route. The present invention can decrease the time for obtaining the next hop information in IP packet forwarding calculation and increase the flexibility of system design.
