PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile terminal that can attempt to connect to an access point automatically when needed to make the mobile terminal exist on a network, without a consciousness or an instruction of a user about performing connection.

SOLUTION: A search for a predetermined access point is carried out at a predetermined timing or when a predetermined condition is satisfied while a mobile type information terminal operates in a power-saving mode. As a result, when the predetermined access point is detected, the mobile type information terminal is connected to the access point to carry out a predetermined data communication process.
