PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique relating to biological authentication.

SOLUTION: A biological authentication device for authenticating a user on the basis of biological information comprises: a registered information storing section for storing registered information which is pre-registered biological information; a determination value determining section for determining a collation determination value which is a determination value used for authentication on the basis of quality relating to reliability which features an individual of the registered information; an authentication information obtaining section for obtaining the biological information of the user as authentication information; a similarity calculating section for collating the authentication information with the registered information to calculate similarity between the registered information and the authentication information; and an authenticating section for authenticating whether the user is the registered person corresponding to the registered information or not on the basis of the similarity and the collation determination value.
