<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable any wrong fitting of a memory device to a controller to be detected with a limited increase in cost without the need to dispose any additional component between the memory device and the controller and, even if the memory device is found wrongly fitted to the controller, a storage array to be correctly recognized as it is without requiring re-fitting. <P>SOLUTION: A slot conversion processor 41a acquires via a controller 1 identification information 11a to 13a and 21a to 23a and fitting sequence data from each of a plurality of memory devices 11 to 13 and 21 to 23 connected to the controller 1, extracts a plurality of sets of fitting sequence data having no identification information of the same memory device from the acquired fitting sequence data, and so rearranges logically the plurality of memory devices 11 to 13 and 21 to 23, on the basis of the extracted plurality of sets of fitting sequence data and the acquired identification information, as to achieve the same state of connection as the extracted plurality of sets of fitting sequence data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
