<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device including a case which can be used continuously even when an internal component is changed. <P>SOLUTION: An image reading device A1 comprises: a cover member 2 having a manuscript contacting face 2a which contacts a manuscript G; light receiving means 6; a substrate 7; a lens member 5 for guiding light from the manuscript G to the light receiving means 6; a case 1 having a case main body part 10 which accommodates the lens member 5 and the substrate 7 internally; and spacer members 32 and 33 sandwiched between the cover member 2 and the case main body part 10 in the z direction so as to contact the both the cover member 2 and the case main body part 10. The cover member 2 has an engagement piece 212 projecting toward the direction away from the manuscript contacting face 2a in the z direction. The case 1 has the engaging part 12 for engaging with the engagement piece 212. An elastic force is added, which is generated by engaging the engagement piece 212 with the engaging part 12 to approximate the both of them between the case 1 and the cover member 2 in the z direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
