The invention relates to water-free antiperspirant compositions having improved antiperspirant action, which are formulated as a mass that can be spread on the skin and is dimensionally stable at 40°C and which contain at least one antiperspirant double salt of the alum type having the general formula MIMIII(SO4)2 · x H2O (wherein MI represents a monovalent cation, selected from among potassium, sodium, rubidium, caesium and ammonium ions; MIII represents a trivalent cation, selected from among aluminum, gallium, indium, scandium, titanium and vanadium ions; x is a rational number in the range from 0 to 12, including 0) and 0.0005 - 5 wt.-% of at least one silicon oxide-containing compound, selected from hydrophobically modified silicic acids and hydrophobically modified phyllosilicates, and a water-free carrier which is liquid under standard conditions.
