摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module excessive insertion prevention structure which prevents excessive insertion of an optical module and the damage of electronic components mounted on a substrate even when the optical module are strongly inserted. <P>SOLUTION: A cage 3 is formed in a cylinder shape so as to open at a rear surface which faces an insertion port 6 into which an optical module 4 is inserted. Further, an excessive insertion prevention member 5 is provided. The excessive insertion prevention member 5 has two side frames 5a, which are respectively arranged along both sides of the cage 3 and fixed to a front surface panel 8 at one end, and a rear frame 5b connecting the other ends of the two side frames at the rear of the case 3. Furthermore, a contacting part 5e is formed in the rear frame 5b so as to protrude into the cage 3 from the open rear surface of the case 3 and contact with a leading end 4d of the optical module 4 in a housing position where the optical module 4 is housed in the cage 3 to stop the insertion of the optical module 4 at the housing position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
