<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing apparatus preventing an event requiring a user to repeate a number of printing operations for printing a data broadcast of a digital broadcast even when there is a failure in obtaining a content, causing an error, while attempting to print data upon receiving printing command specified by a URL. <P>SOLUTION: When there is a failure in obtaining a printing content specified to by a reference printing command, whether the failure is caused by a response at a reference-target external device or no printing content found at the reference-target external device is checked, and cause-related information that is information related to the cause for the failure is stored. Whether information in the received reference printing command is identical to the stored information of the cause for failure is determined. If it is determined that the stored information of the cause includes a reference target identical to the reference target of the reference printing command, the printing job is cancelled without issuing a printing job ID. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
