<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element which is excellent in view point of luminous efficiency, driving voltage, and durability, decrease in efficiency of which is small during high luminance driving, and luminescent chromaticity of which does not depend on the film thickness of a layer containing a compound having electron transport property between an emissive layer and a negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element has a pair of electrodes consisting of a positive electrode and a negative electrode on a substrate, an emissive layer between the electrodes, and an at least one organic layer between the emissive layer and the negative electrode.
