<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the highly quantitative observation of fluorescence by precisely standardizing a fluorescent image using the fluorescent image and an irradiation light image both of which are acquired by cameras different in lens characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: This fluorescence observation apparatus 1 includes an illumination part 3 for irradiating a subject A with illumination light and exciting light, a fluorescent image acquiring part 16 for photographing the fluorescence produced in the subject A by irradiation with the exciting light to acquire the fluorescent image, a return light image acquiring part 17 for photographing the return light returned from the subject A by irradiation with the illumination light to acquire a return light image, a distribution-of-light characteristic data memory part 21 for storing the data related to the distribution-of-light characteristics of the optical systems 14 and 15 provided to the image acquiring parts 16 and 17, an image correction part 21 for correcting at least one of the fluorescent image and the return light image so as to allow the distribution-of-light characteristics contained in the fluorescent image and the return light image to coincide with each other using the data related to the distribution-of-light characteristics and an image standardizing part 22 for standardizing the fluorescent image by the return light image using the fluorescent image and the return light image after correction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
