摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for observing the fine particle of plastically-deformed brittle materials. <P>SOLUTION: The fine particle of plastically-deformed brittle material is obtained by compressing the fine particle of the brittle material deposited on a substrate using a diamond presser in an ordinary temperature state thermally parallel to ambient temperature. The method includes observing the crystalline structure and plastic deformation amount of the fine particle from the ring-shaped connection of the spot of an electron diffraction image. The crystalline structure and plastic deformation amount of the fine particle are a polycrystalline substance, is deformed into a lip shape in a direction parallel to the substrate and is plastically deformed from side to side on the surface of the substrate. The plastically-deformed fine particle firmly fixed to the substrate and forming an anchor portion has the small amount of plastic deformation but a large crystal size compared with the particle in the region except its anchor portion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
