<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate a stress concentration generated at an edge of a heating fixing member compressed by a pressure fixing member. <P>SOLUTION: In a fixing member (F) for fixing an unfixed image in a fixing region (Q5) between a heating fixing member (Fh) and a pressure fixing member (Fp), the heating fixing member (Fh) comprises: a substrate (1) which has a thin-walled metallic and cylindrical shape extending along the width direction of a medium and is elastically deformable; and holding parts (2 and 3) having substrate insertion parts (2a and 3a) supported in a state of being inserted into ends of the substrate (1), and bearing-supported parts (2b and 3b) arranged on the outer ends of the substrate insertion parts (2a and 3a) in the medium width direction. Further, the substrate insertion parts (2a and 3a) each has an outside surface of which the external surface has a small diameter at positions inside the substrate (1) in the axial direction, and the substrate (1) is deformed along the outside surface when it is rotated to pass in the fixing region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
