The applicator (36) has a heating device arranged at an end of an upper part (2). The upper part is swingably connected with a lower part (1). A stamper (6) is cooperated with the heating device at an end of the lower part such that a textile (37) is positioned with an application (38) between the heating device and the stamper. The textile is trapped by compressing the upper and lower parts by hand and heated by the heating device such that the application is printed on the textile. The upper and lower parts form a scissors mechanism. A heating head (7) is connected with the upper part. An independent claim is also included for a method for printing an application on a textile.
