<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charger for electric vehicle capable of surely preventing erosion of a charging cable without degrading usability. <P>SOLUTION: The charger for electric vehicle comprises: a charging cable 4 that is connected to a device body 1, includes a wiring connector 2 at an end and is formed with an excess length absorbing part 3 at an appropriate position; measurement means 5 that measures a space of the wiring connector from the device body 1 of the wiring connector 2; and a conduction control section 6 that starts conduction into the charging cable 4, provided that a measurement length by the measurement means 5 has reached a predetermined threshold value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
