<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device that is not complicated nor enlarged in size even if mounted with a motor, does not cause a cost increase and a weight increase, and can utilize the motor at the start-up of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: This power transmission device includes: a multistaged speed change mechanism (3) having an input shaft (31) into which rotational power output from an output shaft (21) of the internal combustion engine (2) is input, and an output shaft (32) which outputs the rotational power input from the input shaft (31), and outputs it to wheels by speed-changing it at a plurality of switchable reduction rates; a rotary electric machine (4); a rotating electric-machine side output shaft (43) which outputs the rotational power of the rotary electric machine (4) to the wheels; a first power-cut/connection mechanism (51) which switches the cut and connection of the transmission of the rotational power between the input shaft (31) of the multistaged speed change mechanism (3) and a rotor (42) of the rotary electric machine (4); a second power-cut/connection mechanism (52) which switches the cut and connection of the transmission of the rotational power between the rotary electric machine-side output shaft (43) and the rotor (42) of the rotary electric machine (4); and a controller which controls the rotary electric machine (4), the first power-cut/connection mechanism (51) and the second power-cut/connection mechanism (52). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
