<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction of effect of leak magnetic flux due to a magnetic flux generating unit, and shielding of magnetic flux toward a side plate of a device, etc., since these reduction and shielding is desired in a fixing system and the device using an electromagnetic induction system. <P>SOLUTION: Both ends of rotary shafts 3a and 4a of a fixing roller 3 as a heat generating rotary body and a pressure roller 4 as a pressure rotary body are supported by a support plate 40 made of a metallic material, and shaft support parts 41 at both ends of the support plate 40 are disposed outside ends of an external coil 2 along the rotary shaft of the fixing roller 3. As compared with the case that the shaft support parts 41 are disposed inside the ends of the external coil 2, magnetic flux f generated by the external coil 2 hardly reaches the support plate 40 to hardly cause leak magnetic flux. Possibility that the support plate 40 generates heat by the magnetic flux f decreases and a heat generating layer of the fixing roller 3 has excellent heat generation efficiency. The support plate 40 hardly generates the heat, so the fixing roller 3 can be put closer to the external coil 2 to improve more the heat generation efficiency of the heat generating layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
