<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an in-vehicle music playback device for encouraging a driver to drive at a speed which fits into the classification of a road on which a vehicle is traveling and the peripheral situation of a travel route, and to provide a music playback method in the in-vehicle music playback device. <P>SOLUTION: An in-vehicle music playback device is configured to retrieve a guide route to a destination, and to detect a zone (for example, a school, hospital and congestion zone or the like) where the travel speed of a vehicle existing in the periphery of the guide route should be adjusted, and to calculate an estimated passage time when the vehicle passes through a travel speed adjustment zone, and to create a music playlist by determining a reproduction start time so that a music which fits into the travel speed adjustment zone can be played back at the estimated passage time. The music which fits into the travel speed adjustment zone is, for example, a music whose tempo is slow with respect to a zone where the travel speed should be decreased. Then, the in-vehicle music playback device is configured to, when any change occurs in the estimated passage time due to a traffic situation or the like, update the playlist according to the post-change estimated passage time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
