<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a capacitor which is capable of reducing the capacitor resistance and also has excellent short-circuiting resistance. <P>SOLUTION: A separator 1 of the present invention has linear through-holes 10, and is configured such that areas of a front face and a rear face of the through-hole 10 are substantially equal to each other. This structure facilitates the passage of an electrolyte through the through-holes 10, thereby improving the electrolyte mobility between electrodes. As a result, the capacitor resistance can be reduced. Furthermore, the shape of the through-holes 10 according to the present invention makes it possible to reduce the possibility of contact between the anode electrode and the cathode electrode without decreasing a substantial thickness of the separator 1.
