<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing device for wheels capable of improving muddy water resistance property of a seal, and keeping stable seal property by securing a lip surface pressure. <P>SOLUTION: The seal 8 includes: a slinger 11 comprising a cylinder part 11a outwardly fitted to an inner wheel 3, and an erecting plate part 11b radially extending outwardly from the cylinder part 11a; a core metal 13 pressed-fit in the inner periphery of an end of an outward member 10; and a seal plate 12 comprising a seal member 14 having a side lip 14a bonded by vulcanization to the core metal 13, and radially extending outwardly on a slant, a grease lip 14b and a dust lip 14c formed at the inner diameter side in a fork shape. The side lip 14a is brought in slidable contact with the erecting plate part 11b of the slinger 11 through a predetermined axial interference, and a garter spring 15 is installed at the root part of the side lip 14a. A wire diameter of the garter spring 15 is set so as to obtain an annular space between the inner diameter and the root part of the side lip 14a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
