<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel capable of suppressing decrease in display quality and achieving a high yield of products. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display panel includes an array substrate, a counter substrate, a liquid crystal layer and a columnar spacer 35. The array substrate includes: a plurality of scanning lines 19, a plurality of auxiliary capacitance lines 21, a plurality of signal lines 27 and a plurality of switching elements formed on the substrate; an insulating film; a plurality of pixel electrodes 34; and a plurality of base portions 7 formed of the same material as the pixel electrodes 34 and formed on the insulating film.
