<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater which is excellent in usability and energy saving. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater includes: a first tapping pipe 3, a second tapping pipe 4, and a water supply pipe 18 connected to the upper part, intermediate part, and lower part of a hot water storage tank 1, respectively; first and second water supply branch pipes 19 and 21 which are branching from the water supply pipe 18; a first three-way valve 20 whose inlet side is connected to the first tapping pipe 3 and the first water supply branch pipe 19 while the outlet side is connected to a first mixing valve water inlet pipe 23; a second three-way valve 22 whose inlet side is connected to the second tapping pipe 4 and the second water supply branch pipe 21 while the outlet side is connected to a second mixing valve water inlet pipe 24; a hot water supply opening 27 which is connected to a hot water supply pipe 26 connected to the outlet side of a mixing valve 25 whose inlet side is connected to the first and second mixing valve water inlet pipes 23 and 24; a hot water temperature detecting unit 33 which detects the temperature of hot water at such part of the hot water storage tank 1 as is connected to the second tapping pipe 4; and a control unit 34 which controls the first and second three-way valves 20 and 22 and the mixing valve 25 based on the set hot water supply temperature from the hot water supply opening 27 that has been set as well as the output of the hot water temperature detecting unit 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
