<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warp knitted fabric which has strong breaking strength and high tear strength, hardly causes a phenomenon (i.e. a run) that yarns cut at a scar due to a knife or the like and a hole formed by a burning cigarette end or the like continuously fray in the knitting starting direction due to external force such as compression, and has high safety, a soft cushioning property in the thickness direction, excellent fitness to a human body, stable and good seating feeling and a fray prevention effect. <P>SOLUTION: A ground weave is composed of at least two reeds or more, and at least one reed (a first reed) is composed of a chain stitch or a tricot stitch of two needle swings or less and at least the other reed (a second reed) is composed of an inlay stitch of two or more and ten or less needles or a tricot stitch of one or more and eight or less needles. A low melting thermoplastic fiber is formed by the first reed, the second reed, or another reed.
