<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water heater which is excellent in usability and energy saving. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater includes: a first tapping pipe 3, a second tapping pipe 4, and a water supply pipe 18 connected to the upper part, intermediate part, and lower part of a hot water storage tank 1, respectively; a first three-way valve 20 whose inlet side is connected to the first tapping pipe 3 and a water supply branch pipe 19 branching from the water supply pipe 18 while outlet side is connected to a first mixing valve water inlet pipe 23; a second three-way valve 22 whose inlet side is connected to the second tapping pipe 4 and a first tapping pipe branch pipe 21 branching from the first tapping pipe 3 while the outlet side is connected to a second mixing valve water inlet pipe 24; a mixing valve 25 whose inlet side is connected to the first mixing valve water inlet pipe 23 and the second mixing valve water inlet pipe 24 while the outlet side is connected to a hot water supply pipe 26; a hot water supply opening 27 connected to the hot water supply pipe 26; a hot water temperature detecting unit 33 for detecting the hot water temperature at such portion of the hot water storage tank 1 as is connected to the second tapping pipe 4; and a control unit 34 which controls the first three-way valve 20, the second three-way valve 22, and the mixing valve 25 based on the set temperature of hot water supplied from the hot water supply opening 27 that is set as well as the output of the hot water temperature detecting unit 33. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
