<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic composition reducing a slimy feeling during applying thereof and suppressing a sticky feeling even after the lapse of time. <P>SOLUTION: The cosmetic composition contains: (A) tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane; (B) at least one or more of a disinfectant selected from the group consisting of triclosan, isopropyl methylphenol, silver-supported inorganic particles, lysozyme chloride, benzalkonium chloride, cetylpyridinium chloride, and 3,4,4'-trichlorocarbanilide; (C) an antioxidant; and (D) water.
