<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To urge a strap to move into a cabin from a clearance between a panel end part and a trim end part of a front pillar in the initial time of deployment when deploying an air bag body. <P>SOLUTION: A curtain air bag device 1 includes: an inflator 1; the air bag body 2; the strap 3; a head lining 4; a pillar trim 5; and a strap guide member 6. The air bag body 2 is installed into an inlet part position of the front pillar 10. The strap 3 supports a front edge of the air bag body 2 in the front pillar 10 when the air bag is deployed. The head lining 4 covers a cabin-inside of a roof side panel 7, in which the inflator 1 and the air bag body 2 are installed. The pillar trim 5 covers a cabin-inside of a pillar panel 11, in which an end of the air bag body 2 and the strap 3 are installed. The strap guide member 6 has a slope surface 6a provided in an inner surface on a head lining 4 side of the pilar trim 5 and smoothly connecting a trim bottom part 5a to a trim end part 5b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
