<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size, weight, and cost of a high voltage power supply. <P>SOLUTION: The high voltage power supply includes: a switching element which is driven by a frequency signal; a voltage resonance circuit; a rectification circuit; and a current detection circuit connected between the voltage resonance circuit and the rectification circuit.
