<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter performing soft switching that can prevent breakdown voltage destruction of an auxiliary switching element due to surge voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter comprises: a chopper circuit that has a main switching element and the auxiliary switching element and performs soft switching operation which controls applied voltage to the main switching element by switching the auxiliary switching element when the main switching element turns on; and a control circuit that receives a control signal for controlling the chopper circuit over a cable, generates a first signal which controls a switching timing of the main switching element and a second signal which controls a switching timing of the auxiliary switching element based on the control signal, and supplies the first signal to the main switching element and the second signal to the auxiliary switching element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
