<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a new technique for determining whether or not a mobile object is stopped. <P>SOLUTION: In a mobile object mounted with a gyro sensor, a first stop determination to determine whether or not the mobile object is at a stop is made by causing the gyro sensor to perform time differentiation of time series data of angular acceleration detected for every unit period of time to give the angular acceleration, calculating an angular acceleration error variance, which is an error variance of angular acceleration, by using the time series data of angular acceleration for a prescribed period of accumulation longer than the unit period of time, and determining a threshold of the angular acceleration error variance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
