<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piezoelectric material of a barium bismuth niobate-based tungsten bronze structure metal oxide high in a degree of orientation, and to provide a piezoelectric element, a liquid ejection head, an ultrasonic motor, and a dust cleaning apparatus each using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The piezoelectric material includes a tungsten bronze structure metal oxide containing at least metallic atoms of Ba, Bi and Nb, and satisfying the below-described requirements in terms of the molar amounts of the metallic elements, the piezoelectric material being characterized in that W is contained therein, the content of the W is ≥0.40 to ≤3.00 pts.wt. (in terms of the metal), per 100 pts.wt. tungsten bronze structure metal oxide, and the tungsten bronze structure metal oxide has c-axis orientation. Wherein, 0.30≤a≤0.400 (a=Ba/Nb), and 0.012≤b≤0.084 (b=Bi/Nb). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
