<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that can extend a range in which an image of a bar code can be captured by a single CCD area sensor. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus according to an embodiment includes an imaging device, an imaging optical system, and a mirror. The imaging optical system captures light reflected by an object located in a first imaging range, and allows the light captured to enter the imaging device, so as to form an image on the imaging device. The mirror is provided on a portion of an optical path of the light reflected by the object located in the first imaging range to the imaging optical system.
