<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a superior friction coefficient and a torque transmitting performance, and reduce weight and achieve high efficiency, by reducing the number of friction materials and separator plates without wearing the surface of the friction materials. <P>SOLUTION: The wet multiple disc clutch transmits a rotation torque by engagement with the friction materials 4a in lubricating oil. The clutch is constituted by forming a plurality thin grooves 30 such that the groove area (surface groove ratio) of the thin grooves 30 to the friction area becomes 10 to 70% in the whole face of a part contacting with the friction materials 4a of the face engaging with at least the friction materials 4a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
