<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically set a threshold which distinguishes an unnecessary component from a target without being affected by the existence of the target. <P>SOLUTION: A threshold setting method calculates a difference value diff[n] between an Echo level Echo[n] of a noticed distance position [n] and an Echo level Echo[n-1] of a close position [n-1] (S101). If the difference value diff[n] is higher than a threshold γ (S102:Yes), the method sets a new threshold level Th[n] based on the Echo level Echo[n] the threshold level Th[n] of the noticed distance position [n] (S105). If the difference value diff[n] is the threshold γ or less (S102:No), the method sets a new threshold level Th[n] based on the Echo level Echo[n] and the threshold level Th[n] of the noticed distance position [n] and on the threshold level Th[n-1] of closer close position [n-1] (S106). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
