The invention relates to simplifying the conventional method of checking and/or adjusting the pressure of a tyre-wheel assembly for a vehicle, particularly for a two-wheeled vehicle, and relates more specifically to reducing the number of steps involved therein and proposing a pressure checking and/or adjustment device for implementing this method. A tyre-wheel assembly (31) consists of a tyre (32), preferably a tubeless tyre, mounted on a rim (33) and inflated to an initial pressure, the tyre comprising an interior surface that constitutes the wall (34) of the tyre cavity that is in contact with the internal air, the wall of the tyre cavity being at least partially covered with a self-sealing material (35). In the method for checking and/or adjusting the pressure of a tyre-wheel assembly, according to the invention, an inflation interface (36) is introduced into the tyre cavity by piercing a puncture hole in the wall of the tyre cavity in a part that is covered with the self-sealing material, the inflation interface is extracted from the tyre cavity, after inflation, and the puncture hole pierced in the wall of the cavity of the tyre is spontaneously sealed by the self-sealing material after the inflation interface has been extracted. |
