DIAGNOSTIC ASSAYS FOR PROSTATE CANCER USING PSP94 AND PSA BIOMARKERS

The application refers to a method for diagnosing prostate cancer through the measurement of the combination of PSP94 (&bgr;-microseminoprotein) and F/T PSA biomarkers, the method using urine samples to measure PSP94 and serum samples to analyse F/T PSA. In one embodiment, the PSP94 is standardized to creatinine. Also based on the measurement of PSP94 and F/T PSA are provided methods and kits for (a) diagnosing aggressive prostate cancer; (b) differential diagnosis; and (c) diagnosing the progression of prostate cancer.
