<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive recorder which manages both proper recording of video information and saving of a storage capacity. <P>SOLUTION: In the drive recorder recording videos captured by a plurality of cameras, a video captured by at least one camera selected on the basis of an external signal is recorded by a bit rate or a frame rate higher than a standard or by a compression rate lower than the standard.
