<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that requires a large pulling force when a plug contact is pulled out. <P>SOLUTION: A plug engagement step portion P and a receptacle engagement step portion R are engaged with each other when a plug curved portion 12b is pulled out of a receptacle curved portion 22d. In the plug engagement step portion P of a plug contact 12, the inclination angle between the bottom surface 32q and the lower surface 32p is obtuse.
