<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide high strength bolt steel which suppresses the increase of a production cost due to adding expensive alloy elements such as Mo, Ni, Co and V voluminously, and is excellent in corrosion resistance and hydrogen embrittlement resistance. <P>SOLUTION: The high strength bolt steel contains 0.15-0.30 mass% C, 2.0 mass% or less Si, 1.5 mass% or less Mn, 2.5-5.0 mass% Cr, 0.0005-0.01 mass% B, 0.1 mass% or less Ti, and 1.0 mass% or less Al, and the remainder consists of Fe and inevitable impurities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
