<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a period for which a moving image signal cannot be read out when a moving image signal and a still image signal are read out from pixels. <P>SOLUTION: A read-out controller sectionalizes plural pixels arranged on a solid-state image pickup device into plural groups, reads out a still image signal from pixels belonging to each group for every sectionalized group, and reads out a moving image signal from some of the plural pixels between read-out periods of the still image signal. The read-out controller controls read-out of the still image signal and the moving image signal as follows. When the still image signal is read out, the still image signal is read out by a first reading circuit which is any one of plural reading circuits provided in the pixels, and when the moving image signal is read out, the moving image signal is read out by a second reading circuit which is another reading circuit different from the first reading circuit out of the plural reading circuits. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
