<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molten salt battery capable of preventing deposition and growth of dendrite in a negative electrode. <P>SOLUTION: It is assumed that in a molten salt battery a lateral width at a position farther from positive electrode terminals 11 and 12 of a positive electrode (Anode) 1a is La1, a lateral width at a closer position is La2, a lateral width of a negative electrode (Cathode) 2a is Lc, and (Lc/La1)=1.04<(Lc/La2). To be more specific, the battery is configured such that, in any of horizontal and vertical directions, an outline size of the positive electrode 1a in a plan view is the larger, the closer to the positive electrode terminals 11 and 12, and an outer edge of the positive electrode 1a in a plan view is retracted the closer to a center portion of the positive electrode 1a, the closer to the positive electrode terminals 11 and 12. With this configuration, a distance from the outer edge of the positive electrode 1a to the outer edge of the negative electrode 2a is longer at a position closer to the positive electrode terminals 11 and 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
