<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a desulfurization method of molten steel in which a desulfurization effect is not deteriorated even if a desulfurizing material coalesces with Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>suspended in the molten steel. <P>SOLUTION: In the molten steel desulfurization method in which a desulfurizing material having an increased concentration of Al<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>in accordance with the elapse of a desulfurization time is used in a secondary refining facility, especially in a period from a start of desulfurization up to the elapse of 3-5 minutes, a desulfurizing material containing ≥68 mass% CaO, 0.11-0.25 AL<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>/CaO, 0-10 mass% MgO, 0-5 mass% SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and other inevitably contaminated components is used, and thereafter, a desulfurizing material containing ≥51 mass% CaO, 0.25-0.67 AL<SB POS="POST">2</SB>O<SB POS="POST">3</SB>/CaO, 0-10 mass% MgO, 0-5 mass% SiO<SB POS="POST">2</SB>, and other inevitably contaminated components is used. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
