<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silencer and a silent performance tool which enhance an effect of a soft sound on a stringed instrument and can be used and attached to the instrument easily and surely, while minimizing a sense of discomfort of various playing feeling such as a musical interval, expressiveness and touch feeling. <P>SOLUTION: A silencer comprises a vibration suppressor 10 including a pair of metal spindles 11 and 12 of almost identical mass which is fixed thereto so as to sandwich the both side faces of a saddle, the pair of metal spindles 11 and 12 being fixed to the vibration suppressor 10 with a pair of fastening screws 13 and 14 and having recessed portions coming into non-contact with strings attached to the saddle. The silencer further comprises a tabular vibration proofing member having sheet mounting recessed portions to which an adsorption sheet is attached with a double-coated adhesive tape, and being detachably attached to a sound body with the adsorption sheet. A silent performance tool comprises an electronic module provided in a rear part of the saddle of a stringed instrument having the sound body and at a position in the opposite direction from a neck, on the top face of the detachable tabular vibration proofing member, the electronic module for allowing a user to listen silenced performance through an earphone at a normal sound volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
