<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a car navigation device capable of suppressing unnecessary acceleration/deceleration and realizing a fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly travel. <P>SOLUTION: The car navigation device for searching a guide route according to an input of a destination has a determination section to determine whether or not it is possible to pass through a second traffic light at a constant speed after an acceleration or a deceleration if it has first determined that it is possible to pass through a first traffic light by either accelerating or decelerating based on a distance L1 to the first traffic signal and a switching time of the traffic signal while traveling on a guide route.
