<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inner pot composed of an inner bowl and an outer bowl, capable of cooking with reduced electric power by forming an air layer between side walls of the inner and outer bowls along the whole circumference and accumulating heat generated during cooking in the air layer; and a rice cooker including the same. <P>SOLUTION: The inner pot 1 includes the bottomed cylindrical inner bowl 2 made of aluminum and the bottomed cylindrical outer bowl 10 made of stainless steel and having a larger diameter than the inner bowl 2. The inner bowl 2 is housed within the outer bowl 10, and the hollow and sealed air layer 15 is disposed between peripheral walls 6 and 14 of the bowls along the whole circumference.
