<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a soil separation device capable of carrying away only roots which are lightened by removing soil on the site of developed land. <P>SOLUTION: The soil separation device is for abutting/driving a cylinder 1 (a cylindrical member) and a rotary wheel 6 provided with a power source. One side of the cylinder 1 serves as a supply port for soil-adhered roots, and the opposite side thereof serves as a discharge port. Many holes 2 are disposed on the surface of the cylinder 1. On the inner surface of the cylinder 1, there are disposed, in a spiral arrangement, metal bars bent in a hook shape to lift the soil-adhered roots, metal plates for guiding the soil-adhered roots from the supply port to the discharge port, and metal bars for surely separating the soil and the roots when the lifted soil-adhered roots are dropped. By rotating the cylinder, the process is repeated in which the supplied soil-adhered roots are hooked and lifted by the former metal bars; the roots are released from the former metal bars and dropped from about the top position; then the soil-adhered roots hit the latter metal bars so that the soil and the roots are separated. The soil is then dropped down from the holes. The roots from which the soil is removed is guided to the discharge port 11 by the metal plate in the cylinder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
